The Vistani are group of people not originally from Barovia. They dress in bright, colorful clothes and seem of good cheer, loving to travel, dance, sing, drink, and tell campfire stories.

Stanimir said they “come from an ancient land whose name is long forgotten — a land of kings. Our enemies forced us from our homes, and now we wander the lost roads”.

They rescued a wounded soldier, a prince, long ago. That prince was somehow cursed and turned into a tyrant. Stanimi hoped the party could “put his troubled soul to rest”.

Stanimir’s daughter, while dying, seemed to imply there were warring factions amongst the Vistani.

Madame Eva is the leader of the Vistani, or perhaps merely the leader of a faction.
